Fresh cheese cake with raisins and cornstarch

This is a "Maizena"recipy. I slightly adapted it because it dit not work there was not enough milk in it to be able to get a smooth finish. I slightly overbaked mine but my oven is broken. So have a try.

This is a "Maizena"recipy. I slightly adapted it because it dit not work there was not enough milk in it to be able to get a smooth finish. I slightly overbaked mine but my oven is broken. So have a try.
Cooking Instructions

Blind bake the pastry. (See instructions on packet). It needs to be pailer than mine.

Dilute the cornstarch with the sugar and the milk

Bring to a boil whisking vigioursly, I needed an electric whisk. Take of the fire

Divide the eggs into 1 yolk, another yolk and 2 egg whites. Dilute 1 yolk with a tb milk.

Take the mixture from the fire. Put in the cheese and eggyolk. Whisk. Bring back to a boil.

Put the mixture in a bowl

Put in the raisins

Whisk the egg whites into soft peaks. Do this in a glas, clean,bowl.

Fold the eggs white in the mixture

Put the mixture in the baked case

Smooth

Brush with the diluted egg yolk

Bake for 50 min in a cool oven (140°C fan oven)

Glace with the powder sugar. cut of the over hanging edges

Cool and serve

For the last 6 months, I have tried different amounts and cooking times to perfect my recipe. I love edamame desserts and this is one of my favourites ! I can eat a whole cake, and so this is my guilty-pleasure dessert (lol)To create the beautiful colour of edamame beans, I don't use egg yolks. You can use whole eggs if you like. The colour hasn't come out very well in the top photo, but it has a pretty green colour inside and outside.
