Ingredients

15 minutes
  • 1-2 lbsgold potatoes or red potatoes
  • 6 ozor more shredded cheese or Velveeta
  • 1/4 cupsalsa or more to taste (Not to much or runny potatoes)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cupmilk
  • 2 tbspsour cream (optional)
  • Chives or dried cilantro for topping (optional)

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Cook and cover potatoes in boiling water in large pot for about 15 min or until tender and drain.

  2. 2

    Return potatoes to pan and let them sit for 3 ninutes with the lid on. Now mash to your liking.

    Add cheese and salsa, sour cream and cook, now stir 3 to 5 min or until heated through.
    ☆->I shred my own cheese. I used Colby Jack in this recipe.
    ☆▪︎You can use Velveeta.

So if you didn't know this already, we Southerners are pretty set in our ways when it comes to cooking certain dishes.We also don't measure seasonings. I get to share my recipes with others.8. Making memories.9. It's a continuous learning process.10. Cheaper than eating out.11. It saves the expenses.12. Makes me a happier person.13.
