Boiling rice is easy to say than done not only for newbiees but sometime for experienced person as well.key to good boil rice depends from the type of rice to the heat in end. I use basmati rice for normal everyday cooking. I always soak rice prior to cooking.for boiling rice there is no ratio of water yet for me there should be least 1 ltr water for 1 glass of rice.Use of few drops of vinegar helps in keeping rice seprate.whole garam masala is not at all mandatory for boil rice but I like to add peppercorns, cinnamon & cumin. At the end of day boil rice are super saviour to finish up all the left overs from daal to sabzi to salan to fried items
