Wingstop Lemon Pepper Chicken (copycat)
Steps
- 1
Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Make sure to get them very dry. Pour cornstarch, lemon pepper, paprika, garlic powder, avocado oil and salt into a bowl or ziploc bag. Add in chicken. Toss the chicken until they are completely coated.
- 2
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F, and prepare your air fryer basket or trays. Add chicken in a single layer to the air fryer basket or trays. Air-fry for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through until the chicken are golden brown and crispy.
- 3
Meanwhile, melt butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low, and add in the garlic. Stir constantly to cook the garlic for 7-10 minutes then remove from heat.
- 4
In a bowl, combine the garlic butter sauce with fresh squeezed lemon juice, the salt, garlic powder and lemon pepper seasoning.
- 5
In a separate large bowl, add the chicken, and zest 1 whole lemon over top. Then, add the buttery garlic lemon pepper sauce to the wings, and toss to coat.
- 6
Serve with lemon wedges, your favorite dipping sauces, and veggies. Enjoy!
