Ingredients

3 serves
  1. 10 small sizedtinda (apple gourd)
  2. 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  3. 2 teaspoonoil
  4. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  5. 1 teaspooncoriander powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoonred chili powder
  7. 1/4 teaspoongaram masala powder
  8. 1/3 spoonAmchoor powder

  1. 1

    Peel the vegetables, cut them into 4 pieces and remove all the hard seeds.

    Heat oil in a saucepan, and fry cumin seeds till it slightly changes colour. Then add chopped tinda, red chili powder, turmeric powder, hing, and salt. Mix well, add a quarter cup of water, place the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

    Now add coriander powder, and garam masala powder. Mix well and let it cook till the tinda is fully done.
    Finally, remove from heat. Serve hot with roti or hot phulka.
