Steps
- 1
Soak the dry Peas in enough drinking water overnight for best results. Pressure cook with little Salt and water as required the next day. Set aside until use.
- 2
Heat Oil in a pressure cooker. Add Ginger garlic paste and the Onions that are finely chopped. Saute until translucent. Add the rest of the powdered spices and saute all that for about 3-4 minutes and then add chopped Tomatoes too. Ripe one's are the best. Cook on a low heat for further 3 minutes. You can also add slit Green Chillies too.
- 3
Relish! Also add some of the chopped Coriander Leaves and half of the Salt too. Otherwise It would be bland. Now add boiled Dry Peas to the kadai. Mix well and cook on a low heat until 4-5 minutes more so that everything gets incorporated really well. Since this is a semi dry Sabzi or Curry, do not add extra water.
