Mix Coconut with jaggery & 2 tbs. water. Knead it well. Heat kadai & cook Coconut on it for 15 minutes in medium to low flame. When Coconut turns sticky,its done. keep aside.

Make a soft dough with Rice flour, salt & hot water. Knead it well. Then make Puli, Stuff it with Coconut mixture. Keep aside.

Boil 1/2 Ltr. Milk in kadai. Mix 250 gm. Water & 1 pinch baking soda with it. Boil it well. Then add Puli on it. Cook it for 15 minutes in high flame. Then add Sugar or Jaggery & boil it well. Turn off the gas flame. Rest it for 6 to 7 hours. For better taste, next day add 1/2 Ltr. boiled milk with it & cook it in high flame. When milk turns thick, add 1/2 tsp. Cardamom powder. It's done. Cool it. Now enjoy the Puli Pitha. Garnish it with Raisin.
