Ma'amoul ASEAN version low carb (kuih makmur)

Kuih makmur low carb.

Kuih makmur is a traditional biscuit belong to the arab.It is called ma'amoul..

The pastry is the same but the filling is different from our version

For the arabic version ,the filling is made from walnut or pistachio ..which is commonly found in the middle east.

As for our ASEAN version ,we use peanuts as its easily available in the region and it is way cheaper than those two nuts.

Keto ma'amoul in the middle east is available but my family prefer the ASEAN version. Not many people loves the low carb version but its a lifestlye we have adapted.
