Fava Bean Paste (or Edamame)

I got a lot of fava beans from a friend, so I made this.
It's also delicious made from edamame.
It takes a little bit of work, but all the steps are fairly simple.
In Step 2, use the strainer for a smooth feel, while mashing with a fork retains some of the bean feel. Both are delicious.
Please adjust the sugar amount as desired. I use 30 g to better make use of the flavor of the beans. Recipe by mary

Steps
- 1
Remove the skins from the fava beans and boil in boiling salt water (salt not listed) for 4-5 minutes.
- 2
Once they've boiled, remove the thin skin layer, and either strain or mash with a fork. It's a bit difficult, but give it your all.
- 3
Add Step 2 to a small pot. Add the sugar and heat. Evaporate the moisture, but cook to your desired stiffness. Add the salt mid-way.
- 4
And it's complete.
- 5
I made flat bean paste bread. It was really good.
- 6
This is also delicious made from edamame.
