Ingredients

29 pieces
  • 1 cupall purpose flour / maida
  • 1/2 cupbesan
  • 1/4 cupsooji
  • 1/2t.sp baking powder
  • 1/2t.sp. cooking soda
  • 1/2 cupclarified butter
  • 1/2 cuppowdered sugar
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • 3--- 4 t.sp. warm milk
  • 2tb.sp almond --- cashew powder
  • 1t.sp cardamom powder
  • 1t.sp almond --- pista flakes

  1. 1

    Cut almond - pista into flakes. Grind cardamom to fine powder. Take clarified butter in a bowl.

    Sieve all purpose flour, besan,sooji, baking powder, cooking soda & salt. Keep aside.

    Take powdered sugar & clarified butter in a big bowl. Beat them with a whisk, till fluffy & white in colour. Add cardamom powder & beat well.

    Add flour mixture slowly.Add warm milk slowly & make a dough. Make small balls & place them on a greased plate / thali.

    Pre - heat oven at 180 for 10 minutes. Bake the cookies for 10 -- 12 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven. The cookies will be soft in the beginning but will harden on cooling. Cool the cookies completely & serve them with tea / coffee or store in an airtight container.
