Steps

Boil macaroni pasta until softened, mix in a drizzle of oil and leave to the side.

In a frying pan, melt butter and mix in flour until you get a paste. Then mix in water slowly followed by crème fresh and and stock.

Continue boiling until thickened then add in cheddar, turn off the heat and add pasta.

Season and put into a dish. Top with breadcrumbs, herbs and parmesan (for a zesty finish, add lemon zest)

Bake for 30 minutes and serve browned with leafy, balsamic vinegar salad.
