Let me introduce you to Wolf Zacharias (if you have young kids, you might know him) and this super easy apple cake recipe he got from "Aunt Lena of the Three Little Pigs." This is a lightning-fast recipe that's so simple you can make it together with your kids!

15 minutes prep, 40 minutes baking

Serves 6 servings

1 cupflour (about 125 grams; I used self-rising flour for extra volume)
2/3 cupsugar (about 125 grams)
9 tablespoonsbutter (about 125 grams)
3eggs
3small apples
Optional: 1 packet vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: A little powdered sugar and cinnamon for dusting

15 minutes prep, 40 minutes baking

Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, then the vanilla, and finally the flour.

The batter should have a cake-like texture.

Grease a 9-inch (22 cm) round baking pan, or use the cake ring tip from Nafsika and wet the parchment paper for a better fit. Pour in the batter.

Arrange the apples on top. I used thin slices, but you can also use small pieces like Wolf Zacharias does.

Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 40 minutes.

Once cooled, remove from the pan and dust lightly with powdered sugar and a little cinnamon.

Προσαρμόζω εύκολα χαρτί ψησίματος σε σκεύη διάφορων σχημάτων

Κόβω ένα κομμάτι από χαρτί ψησίματος στο μέγεθος που επιθυμώ, το τσαλακώνω σε μπάλα και τοποθετώ για δευτερόλεπτα κάτω από τρεχούμενο νερό. Στύβω καλά.
