Ingredients

4 people
  • Macaroni (1 lb box) use what you like elbows, bow ties, rigatoni, etc
  • 1/2 stickbutter
  • 1/4 cflour
  • 2 cupswhole milk
  • 1 cupheavy cream (or half and half)
  • Cheese! Whatever kind you like. Approximately 4 cups shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoonSalt and pepper - about

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Cook pasta according to directions and drain

  2. 2

    Melt butter over medium heat

  3. 3

    Add flour and whisk to make a roux

  4. 4

    Add milk and cream - continue to whisk

  5. 5

    Once mixed, lower heat and stir in cheese, salt/pepper

  6. 6

    Add cheese sauce to cooked pasta

  7. 7

    Top with additional cheese and bake for 30 mins at 350 F
