First of all, to prepare the masala for chana chaat, add chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, aamla powder, sanchal powder, garam masala in a bowl, add two spoons of water and mix with a spoon to make a paste. So that the spices do not get burnt when put in the oil and get coated with the chickpeas.

Now heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida and the prepared paste and stir well with a spoon. Then add boiled chickpeas to it and add salt according to taste and mix and cook on low heat for three to four minutes.

Now add boiled potato slices to it and mix well and switch off the gas after two minutes. When the mixture cools down a bit, add onions, tomatoes, chillies, coriander and lemon juice, aamla powder. Now stir everything with a spoon and mix well.

So nutritious, healthy, tasty masala chana chaat is ready. Remove and serve in a serving bowl.
