Homemade Apple Pie Moonshine

This is a modified version, based on taste, of the traditional apple pie moonshine recipe. I prefer a more apple and alcohol taste and less cinnamon sweet. I've played with this recipe for years and finally found this to be my favorite. This also doesn't need to be matured. Fresh is still good. The apples taste great after about 2 days. I use 3 Qt mason jars because I take this to block parties and big family events. The small jars are too small and hard to carry. For gifts the small jars work great. Use 2 apple slices for the small jars. I make my own Moonshine as well. I get mine about 150 proof and it's always better than store bought.

Steps
- 1
Mix the Apple Juice, Apple Cider and Cinnamon Sticks in a big pot and bring to a boil.
- 2
Stir in the White Sugar and Brown Sugar, turn off heat and cover. Stir real good so no sugar settles.
- 3
Let stand till cool (this takes a couple of hours). Do steps 4 and 5 while it cools.
- 4
Core and slice Apples into 8 pieces (standard apple slicer)
- 5
Fill each jar 1/4 full of Moonshine and place 4 slices of apple in each jar. Let sit while mix cools.
- 6
Once cool (warm ok) fill jars with mix to the top and put on lid. Then let sit for a couple days in a cool dry place. The longer it sits the more robust and smoother it will be.
- 7
Shake and serve warm if your cold, or cold if your warm. If you can't decide, drink it room temp and it's great.
