Teriyaki-Style Stir-Fried New Potatoes and Wiener Sausages

cookpad.japan

I got some new potatoes from a friend a work. I wanted to flavor them so that they'd go well with rice.

The amount of soy sauce and mirin and how the microwave times will differ on the size of the spring potato. This time, the spring potatoes were pretty big.
I used hon-mirin and not mirin seasoning. For 2 to 3 servings. Recipe by Nyankochansan

Steps

  1. 1

① Wash the spring potato well and cut in wedges. ② Cut the wiener sausages diagonally.

  2. 2

Pour water and Step 1 into a silicone steamer and microwave for 2.5 minutes in 600W (If a toothpick goes through the potato smoothly, then it is OK).

  3. 3

Heat oil (I use olive oil at my house) and stir-fry the wiener sausages. Add potato from step 2 and continue stir frying.

  4. 4

When it is cooked, season with soy sauce, mirin, salt and pepper to finish. Dish it up and sprinkle with parsley to taste.

  5. 5

Here I used regular potatoes instead of new potatoes. (I used 1 to 2 medium potatoes.) The potatoes were floury and delicious!
