My daughter requested takoyaki, but we didn't have any takoyaki flour. We had plenty of all-purpose flour, so I decided to try making it. The flavor is a bit strong, so if there are leftovers, you can pack them in a lunchbox, and the kids will love it.

  • 2 1/2-3 cups✭water
  • 1 tablespoon✭dashi stock granules
  • 1 tablespoon✭mirin
  • 1 tablespoon✭soy sauce
  • 1✭egg
  • ✿For chewy takoyaki lovers✿
  • 190 gto 195g all-purpose flour
  • 5 gto 10g potato starch

    In a large bowl, mix all the ✭ ingredients well.

    If you prefer chewy takoyaki, try the recipe with potato starch listed below. Chewy takoyaki offers a new and delicious texture.
