Delicious Filipino-Style Corned Beef

This crispy and savory sautéed corned beef is addictive. It's great as a snack or a side dish with rice.
The Origin of This Recipe
This is a sautéed corned beef dish called 'Ginisang Corned Beef'. In the Philippines, it's often eaten as a breakfast side dish, but I didn't know about this way of eating it when I was in Japan.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a frying pan with a little oil, sauté the onion and garlic. When the onion starts to soften, add the corned beef.
- 2
Break it up in the pan and continue to sauté over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
- 3
After a few minutes, when the meat fibers start to get crispy, it's done. Transfer to a plate, sprinkle with black pepper, and enjoy.
- 4
If you can handle the heat, adding chili peppers is recommended.
- 5
This is actually a staple breakfast side dish for those who want a hearty meal. In the Philippines, it's also enjoyed with garlic rice.
