I feel like this should also be apart of the Earth Week recipes.
Every time you slice apples, keep the apple cores in a freezer safe bag in the freezer. When your bag is almost full take them out & make this amazing juice.

Ingredients

  1. 1freezer bag of apple cores
  2. Enough water to cover the cores
  3. 1-2 tspwhite sugar

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Place apple cores in a pot. Cover with just enough water to cover the cores. Add 1 tsp of sugar, mix. Let come to a boil, turn down to medium low and let simmer for 30 minutes. Turn off heat & let cool.

  2. 2

Once mixture is cool place a strainer over a glass jar, and pour mixture into the jar. The cores will stay on top, squeeze them with a spatula to get remaining juice out. Try it, it should be sweet, but if you want a little extra sweetness, add a tsp of sugar & mix. Let sit in fridge until ready to drink.
