Mango Chunda is common to all Gujarati house. Mango Chunda has sweet, sour and little spicy taste. Traditional way of preparation of Chunda is time consuming.
Add everything in a big vessel and cover it with cloth, put it in sunlight, till thick sugar syrup is made. This process might take up to 8-10 days. Here I prepared on gas within a 10min.

Wash Kairi, then peel it, and grate the mango.

Now add sugar, salt and turmeric powder in the grated mango & mix well. Let it rest for 1 hour.

Now take a pan, cook this mixture on slow-medium flame, till it reaches 1 string consistency of sugar syrup.

Switch off the flame. Transfer this mixture in another bowl, and allow it to cool completely. Once cooled, add Red chilli powder and Roasted Cumin powder, mix well. We can store it in a sterilized air tight container for one year.

Gujarati Chudo is ready. Serve with Masala Puri, Thepla, Roti or Paratha.
