Wash, peel and chop ridge gourd into small pieces.

Heat a pan add oil and mustard seeds allow to crackle.Add turmeric powder and ridge gourd pieces and soaked chana daal.

Add chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala,salt.Cover and cook for seven minutes.

Sabji and dal gets tender turn off the gas.Our ridge gourd sabji is ready to serve.
