Phyllo meat pie

Phyllo Meat Pie is a savory dish characterized by layers of flaky phyllo pastry filled with a well-seasoned ground beef mixture. Layers of flaky phyllo with a tantalizing meat mixture nestled in between. This dish is popular in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines and is celebrated for its comforting flavours and crispy texture. If you’ve been looking for things to make with phyllo dough, this easy recipe is a great one to try!
Phyllo meat pie is often served warm and can be accompanied by a fresh salad or dips like tzatziki or hummus. It can also be made ahead of time and frozen, making it a convenient option for meal prep.
Instead of using the long list of spices mentioned, you can use 1 ½ teaspoon of the spice blend known as “baharat.” You should be able to find it in any Arab store.
Traditionally, the potatoes, cheese and bagel seasoning are not added to this pie. These are optional add-in that I used.
You can keep the leftovers of this meat pie recipe in an airtight food container in the fridge. Then reheat in the oven at 350°F, uncovered.
This dish not only showcases the versatility of phyllo dough but also highlights the rich flavours of seasoned ground beef, making it a beloved comfort food across various cultures.
