Surmai/King Mackerel/spotted Seer Fish/King Fish is not new to any of us Indians and it is one of the most loved Fish all over the Country. It is found in and around the Indian Ocean and the adjoining Seas. It is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and consuming this is much better than taking the tablets.
Omega 3 has anti inflammatory properties and good for maintaining a healthy Heart and also prevents Arthritis.

This is simple Tawa Fry. The spices used are also easily available in every pantry. Not only it's absolutely flavourful, it is done easily and there is no need of deep frying too. Tawa Fry is a great way to enjoy this lip-smacking homemade delightful Fish.
Since I could lay my hands on this fresh Fish this time after a long wait, I couldn't wait to try it. And just when it's continously pouring outside, I settled for this delicious one for Dinner tonight. Let's get going with the recipe.

Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Steps

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

Wash all the cut pieces of the fish under running water thoroughly. Allow them to drain in a colander. Set aside for about 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile keep the masalas or the spices to be used handy.

  2. 2

Marinate with all the ingredients as mentioned. The spices can be adjusted accordingly. Let it sit marinated on the counter for an hour. Or better still overnight in a refrigerator if the outside temperature is okay. That is if the seasons are rainy or winter. In summers, it should be marinated and kept in a freezer.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
