Gulab Jamun is a favorite dessert enjoyed by everyone. It's commonly served at weddings, festivals, and in many homes. Today, I made it for Diwali.
Steps
- 1
Pour the Gulab Jamun mix into a bowl. Gradually add milk and knead the mixture until it forms a soft, smooth dough. Do not make it too stiff.
- 2
On another burner, start making the sugar syrup. Add 2 cups water to a pot, then add the sugar. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves completely.
- 3
Shape the dough into small balls, about the size of a marble. Fry them in oil or ghee over medium heat until they turn golden brown.
- 4
Repeat with the remaining dough, frying all the balls. Once the sugar has dissolved in the syrup, add the cardamom powder. After 1 minute, turn off the heat. Gently add the fried Gulab Jamun balls to the warm syrup.
- 5
Your Gulab Jamun is ready! Serve it to your guests or enjoy at home. It's delicious!
