Large Roast Chicken

The raw whole Chicken was quite expensive at £6.00 , but for that price I did not have too cold water wash the raw Chicken ( I did by soaking in lot's of cold tap water within a large metal Mixing Bowl ) as it said on it's Packaging , was larger than the Shop bought economy one's as well . Did say on the Packaging that it should be cooked in the oven at Gas Mark 6 for 1 hour and 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6.
Remove the Packaging of the whole raw large Chicken and then place in some kind of Roasting utensil and then place 4 tablespoons of Vegetable Oil at the bottom and then place the whole raw Chicken in and then drizzle 4 tablespoons of Vegetable Oil over the top, add 2 teaspoons salt too the inside cavity of the Chicken and then 2 teaspoons over the top of the skin of the chicken, add the grinds of Black Pepper over the top - 2
Roast in the oven at Gas Mark 6 for One hour and then baste and then continue too roast in the oven at Gas Mark 6 for a further 40 minutes. Allow too rest for 20 minutes and then carve and serve. Can store in the Fridge and use the cold cooked Chicken for Chicken sandwiches etc.
