Ingredients

30 mins
4 people generously
  • 2medium brown onions
  • 4 clovesgarlic
  • 1 inchpiece of ginger
  • 1 tspchilli powder or 1tsp of dried chilli flakes or 1/3 of a Birds Eye chilli (optional)
  • 1 tspturmeric
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 1 tspground coriander
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 tspgaram masala
  • 2 tspcurry powder
  • 4big tomatoes
  • 2 blockshalloumi
  • 500 gpassata
  • 3 tbspyoghurt (optional)

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Put oil in a pan then add onion cook until golden brown.

  2. 2

    Cook on a low medium heat. Add spices and garlic and ginger

  3. 3

    Stir in and cook for one minute then add the halloumi

  4. 4

    Cook for another minute and add the tomato

  5. 5

    Cooked for another minute and add the passata

  6. 6

    Let it simmer and then add the optional yogurt, stir in and serve as soon as possible
