Shami Kebabs are pan fried patties from Mughlai cuisine made with meat, chana dal & spices. I have made it's veg version jackfruit shami kebab which is totally vegan and melt in mouth. These kebabs are flavoured with spices and makes a delicious snack or appetizers.

Shami Kebabs are pan fried patties from Mughlai cuisine made with meat, chana dal & spices. I have made it's veg version jackfruit shami kebab which is totally vegan and melt in mouth. These kebabs are flavoured with spices and makes a delicious snack or appetizers.

Put washed jackfruit pieces and chana dal in pressure cooker with 1/2 tsp Salt and water.

Close the lid and cook for 3-4 whistle.

After this, let it cool and then transfer it into a mixer jar.

Grind it into a fine paste.

Put the grounded jackfruit in a mixing bowl and add all spices and salt.

Mix well and make patties from the mixture.

Heat 3 to 4 tsp oil in a pan on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the kebabs into hot oil.

Cook one side for around 3 minutes on low heat until it turns golden brown, then carefully flip and cook the other side until that's golden brown as well.

Jackfruit Shami kebabs are ready to serve.
