In a bowl, mix chopped onion, cilantro, mint leaves, besan, baking soda, haldi, salt, ajwain, red chili powder, and kasuri methi.

Add water to form a thick yet pourable batter.Add 1 tablespoon hot oil to the batter and mix well.

Heat oil in a kadhai (wok) and drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil and fry until they are half cooked. (Once cooled, cut into small pieces and re-fry until crispy.)

Fry until golden brown (2-3 minutes) and drain excess oil.
