Ingredients

1 kg Amla candy
  • 1 kgfresh Amla
  • 500 gmsugar

Steps

    First of all bring fresh amlas from market then wash thoroughly and dry it with cloth then keep in containers and keep in refrigerator for one day.

    Next day remove that container and keep these amlas as it is at least 1 hour. then then keep steamer on medium flame and add water in it then keep steaming plate and all these armlas keep on the plate for 10 minutes. after 10 minutes check out the Amla. outer covering is little bit removed from that amla. then switch off the flame and make it cool these amlas. take Amla and remove their upper skin and make pieces.

    After completion of pieces add sugar in amlas. mix it well. now keep this mixture for 3 days where sugar is dissolved. everyday mix all these amlas in that amla syrup. after 3 days remove candies from syrup and keep in plate for drying. no need to keep in hot son light. cover it with cloth and keep in shade for at least 3, 4 days so candies become dried properly. after drying properly transfer in glass container. these candies we can keep for 2,3 months.

Tips

here skin removing of Amla is important because of that our candies are not shrinking. remaining Amla syrup you can use for shikanji or sharbat.
