Ingredients

Total time: 35 min (prep 20 min + cook 15 min)
4-5 people
  • 1/2 cupsago (small tapioca pearls)
  • 1 packetagar-agar (gulaman), prepared and cubed
  • 1 cupbrown sugar
  • 1 cupwater (for syrup)
  • 4 cupswater (for drink)
  • cubesIce

Steps

Total time: 35 min (prep 20 min + cook 15 min)

    Boil sago in water until translucent; drain and rinse with cold water.

  2. 2

    Prepare agar-agar according to package instructions; let set and cut into cubes.

  3. 3

    Boil brown sugar and 1 cup water until syrupy; cool.

  4. 4

    In a jug, combine sago, gulaman, syrup, and water.

  5. 5

    Add ice cubes and serve chilled.

Tips

Rinse cooked sago in cold water to prevent it from sticking together.
