Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and add the sugar.

Beat well with an electric mixer until the mixture lightens in color, then slowly add the cream while continuing to whisk constantly.

Add the cinnamon and whisk again. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Pour the mixture from the bowl into a saucepan and add the vanilla.

Mix in the vanilla thoroughly. Cook over low heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens. Pour the custard into 4 ramekins.

Bake for 10 minutes, then add the sliced almonds.

Return to the oven for 5 minutes under the broiler. They're ready!
