Place the flour in a large bowl and make a well in the center.

Add the yeast and a little water, cover, and let sit for 10 minutes.

Mix in the salt, butter, and the remaining water. Knead the dough for about 7 minutes.

Cover and let rise for 1 hour, until the dough has doubled in size.

Oil or wet your hands, then divide the dough into balls.

Place the dough balls on a buttered baking sheet, cover with a towel, and let rise again.

Brush with egg, sprinkle with nigella seeds, sesame seeds, and rolled oats, then score the tops with scissors.

Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 18 minutes.
