Ingredients

35-40 minutes
2-3 servings
  1. 🌻FOR CHICKEN MARINATION:
  2. 1 lbboneless, skinless chicken cut into long thin slices
  3. 1 Tbsppaprika
  4. 1 tspred chilli flakes / crushed red chilli
  5. 1 tspred kashmiri chilli powder
  6. 1/2 tspgaram masala powder
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. 1/4 cupGreek yogurt
  9. 2 Tbspoil
  10. 🌻FOR FRYING:
  11. 5-6 Tbspcooking oil
  12. 1red onion, thinly sliced
  13. as neededsalt,
  14. 1 Tbspginger & garlic paste
  15. 1 Tbsptomato paste
  16. 1large tomato, thinly sliced
  17. for garnishjalapeños
  18. Some, for garnishcoriander cilantro/leaves
  19. 1lemon juice

Steps

35-40 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and dry all chicken well.
    Place all chicken in mixing bowl then add all marination ingredients in bowl mix and coat well all chicken. keep in refrigerator for 5-10 mins.

    Heat the oil in a skillet/tawa over medium high heat and when it starts shimmering add in the ginger-garlic paste and stir to combine.

    After stirring for a few second add in all the marinated chicken and sauté for 2-3 mins so that the spices bloom.

    Stir in the tomato paste and the tomato slices and continue sauté for 4-5 mins till the oil separates out.
    Splash some water and stir to combine season with salt if needed.

    Cook uncovered till the chicken is fully cooked and most of the moisture is absorbed, about 5-7 mins. Turn the heat off.

    Add in thinly sliced red onion & jalapeños (seeds removed if you prefer less heat). Garnish with chopped coriander /cilantro, lemon juice and serve hot with side of rotis or naan.
