If you are looking for a party finger food, Gobi manchurian is a dry dish without much sauce, so you can sitck toothpicks into these florets and serve. If you want to serve this as a side dish to some flavoured rice, add more water to the corn flour mixture

Mix the batter ingredients to get a slightly loose batter

Coat each floret with the batter and deep fry in the oil

Drain on some kitchen towel and set aside

To make the sauce, fry the onions, green chillies, garlic and the capsicum till the onions are golden brown

Next add the liquid: tomato sauce, soy sauce and vinegar

Turn the heat to low and fry for a minute

Pour the cornflour mixture and mix until the sauce thickens

If needed add some salt

Add the fried florets to the sauce and toss gently

Garnish with some fresh coriander leaves or spring onions or us a combination of both like I did

Serve hot!
