My best friend once gave me a pack of li hing mui. She advised me to soak them in roasted tea, then add some sugar, then some ice. I thought li hing mui would taste divine with orange juice, and I was right. During hot days, my family and I enjoy this drink with heaps of ice.

Ingredients

  1. Juice from 4 oranges
  2. 1 canorange slices
  3. 10 piecesli hing mui (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_hing_mui)--add more if you like sourer drinks
  4. 1 pinchsalt
  5. to tasteSugar
  6. 400 mlwater
  7. Ice

Cooking Instructions

    Drain the orange slices, arrange in two tall glasses.

    Combine orange juice, water, salt, sugar, the syrup from canned orange slices. Pour into two glasses.

    Stir well. Add li hing mui. Steep for 10 minutes or so. Add some ice, and enjoy!
