Many Kenyans love chapati, me included so i saw a recipe of chapati prepared with butternut i decided to try it.
Steps

Boil 500ml water until it becomes warm and cover. In a bowl or tray place more than 3/4 of the flour.

Peel the cover of the boiled butternut as you place in the flour add 100ml cooking oil and add the sugar and cinnamon. Stir the flour.

Mix the salt and the water then start pouring in the flour as start kneading.

Continue kneading as add water if necessary as the dough becomes firm

When the dough is ready cover for 10minutes using aluminium foil.

Take the dough and spread a little flour on the flat surface and place the dough on it. Use a roller to flatten the dough until around 1.5cm.

Scoop 5tbs cooking and spread it on the dough then use a knife to cut across the dough to form strips

Use each strip to form a round ball then as you set aside until you finish.

Roll the round ball to become flat as you preheat the flat pan.

Place the chapati on the pan and after a minute overturn then spread oil on the top part and overturn again then spread oil on the other surface.

Let the chapati until it starts having golden brown spots on both sides then remove from the pan.

Continue the process until you finish all the chapatis then serve.
