Roasted corn is a food that is common in virtually every state in Nigeria. I love it because is very sweet and satisfying and can be eaten at any time of the day. It can be eaten with coconut, groundnut and one can also mix it with as jollof.

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

Get your corncobs that are already matured but still fresh and soft from your farm or you can buy them from the market

  2. 2

Get your locally made stove that is used with charcoal and That strong net used for roasting meat. If you don't have the stove, you can use 3 stones that the net can rest on.

  3. 3

Put the charcoal inside, add kerosene and light it. Allow the black flame to die down, then you get a hand fan and start fanning the charcoal till it becomes reddish, then you put your net on top, peel your corn make sure is neat then you start arranging your corn on the net on fire. you will still need to be fanning the fire so it doesn't die down.

  4. 4

Once one side is roasted, you turn the other side to be roasted till the whole corn is roasted.

  5. 5

You can now enjoy it with whatever you want to eat it with or alone.

  6. 6

Though the time for roasting depends on the number of the corn you want to roast.
