Ingredients

5 jars
  • 10oranges, just the flesh, without seeds, in slices
  • 4tangerines, just the flesh, without seeds, in slices 
  • 2lemons, just the flesh, without seeds, in slices
  • peels of 2 tangerines 
  • peels of 2 oranges and 2 lemons, carefully cut with the knife to the top, without the pith 
  • 1200 gsugar 
  • 2cinnamon sticks 
  • 1star anise 
  • 1/2 tsp.If you don't have any star anise use some anise seeds about

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil the flesh of the citrus fruits in water for about 30 minutes until it gets tender. Keep a little of the water they have boiled in. 

  2. 2

    Using another pot boil the peel of the citrus fruits for 10 minutes. Change the water and boil for an additional 5 minutes. Discard that water as well and blend them in a blender. 

  3. 3

    Place the boiled flesh, the doubly boiled and pulped peels, the cinnamon and the sugar in the pot. Add a little of the water that you have set aside, stir and let all the ingredients boil together until they thicken and become a nice marmalade. 

  4. 4

    Remove the spices and distribute in sterilize jars while it is still piping hot.

  5. 5

    Secure the jars with their lids, turn them upside down and let them cool like that.
