Ingredients

  1. 10tilapia filets
  2. 1/4 cupfresh lemon juice
  3. 2 cupvegetable oil
  4. 1 packagesLouisiana fish fry New Orleans style
  5. 1/2 tbspold bay seasoning
  6. 1/2 tbsporegano
  7. 1/2 tbspItalian seasoning
  8. 1/2 tbspblack pepper
  9. 1/2 tbsponion powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Thaw tilapia accordingly. saturate with fresh lemon juice on both sides

  2. 2

    Season one side to your liking with old bay seasoning, and oregano

  3. 3

    Flip tilapia filets and season other side with onion powder, Italian seasoning and black pepper

  4. 4

    Heat oil in Dutch skillet until piping hot (test by tossing a dash of the fish fry into grease if it sizzles heavily it is ready)

  5. 5

    Coat fish filets in fish fry seasoning make sure the fish is evenly coated on both sides

  6. 6

    Place fish filets in grease and cook until browned (about 5 minutes) Flip and cook the other side an additional 5/6 minutes or until done

  7. 7

    Remove filets from grease and drain on paper towel. Enjoy
