Shrimp Wonton Soup Shrimp Wonton Soup
I love wonton soup! This is one of my comfort foods. I found this recipe on the web quite awhile ago on "Damn Delicious". I made a couple of alterations but not much. This an afternoon project. Sitting at my dining room table, watching TV and making wontons. I lay them out on sheet trays lined with parchment paper and freeze what I don't use for dinner that night. The frozen ones I put in freezer bags in dinner size portions for future dinners or lunch.I would give instructions on how to wrap them, but the package of wontons gives really good instructions. I will say, make sure you get all the air out when you seal the or they will burst when you cook them.Hope you enjoy. 🙂 Angie -

Plump and Juicy! Shrimp Wonton Dumplings Plump and Juicy! Shrimp Wonton Dumplings
I love shrimp. More than the wrappers and more than the meat, I wanted to emphasize the shrimp! So I used very thin wrappers and filled them with lots of shrimp. The keys to plump and juicy shrimp is to prepare the shrimp properly, and to not cut the shrimp with a knife.Once you boil the wonton they'll look OK, so you can be a bit sloppy when you make the dumplings. You can freeze the formed dumplings. Pork Wonton Soup Pork Wonton Soup
I really wanted to eat wonton soup, but when I went to a restaurant, I felt like there was too much pork fat in the filling, which made it greasy. Some places don't put enough filling, leaving me unsatisfied 😬. So, I decided to make it myself. The ingredients are simple, and the process is easy. It's delicious too.Note: For the broth, I use pork bone broth. I've shared the recipe before under the name 'Pork Bone Broth with Daikon'. mamanaTranslated from Cookpad Thailand -
Fried Wontons Fried Wontons
My family LOVES fried wontons! Some of the ones shown here were made by me, some by my granddaughter Dellaney in Arizona. Great snacks/appetizers, but I'll admit to making them as a main dish. Why not!!? We all tweek the recipe slightly, to our own taste, so feel free to do the same. No one in my household likes cilantro, so we omit it. Others don't add the 5-spice or sesame oil. When I've got it on hand, I love adding chopped bok choy. They're all yummy! Make it your own. Maggie Conlon -
