Turkish red lentil soup is very delicious and has an amazing flavor.

Rinse the lentils thoroughly and add 3 cups of water (about 700 ml).

Peel and chop the potatoes, then add them to the pot. Chop the carrot and add it as well.

Mince the garlic and add it to the pot.

Cover and cook for about 1 hour, until the carrot is tender.

Once the vegetables are cooked, add the salt, turmeric, and lemon juice or citric acid. Stir well.

Use an immersion blender to blend everything until smooth.

Let it simmer for a few more minutes, then serve. Enjoy!
