Steps

Preheat oven to 350°. In a mixer, combine all wet ingredients including the brown sugar and granulated sugar.

Once the wet is mixed well, sift all dry ingredients together then add to the mixer on slow. Once finished, make sure all ingredients are mixed fully from the sides and bottom where they can occasionally clump.

Pour into a lightly greased 9 inch round baking pan

Place in the oven at 350° 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean.

Now get out another clean bowl to prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting.

Mix the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment on low speed until just combined. Don't whip it. Add the sugar and mix until smooth.
