Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  2. 2 cupheavy cream
  3. 2 tbspseedless strawberry jam
  4. 1 quartfresh strawberries, washed, stemmed, and thinly sliced
  5. 1confectioners' sugar, for dusting

Steps

  1. 1

    Place the oven rack into the center position in the oven, and preheat to 350°F.

  2. 2

    Unfold the puff pastry onto a clean work surface and cut into 12 equal rectangles.

  3. 3

    Transfer to a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake until golden and puffed, 13 to 15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Remove the sheet from the oven and let the puff pastry cool completely.

  5. 5

    Whip the cream until stiff peaks form.

  6. 6

    Using a spatula, fold the jam into the whipped cream until mixed well.

  7. 7

    To assemble, lay out 4 pieces of puff pastry.

  8. 8

    Top each with a thin layer of strawberry slices.

  9. 9

    Add a generous dollop of whipped cream.

  10. 10

    Spread slightly to coat the strawberries.

  11. 11

    Dust with confectioners' sugar.

  12. 12

    Repeat the layering once, then top each stack with the final third piece of puff pastry.

  13. 13

    Dust once more with the confectioners' sugar and serve.

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
