Ingredients

3 servings
  • 6whole teal or 2 mallard duck breasts
  • 1 cupbeer
  • 1/2 mediumonion, diced
  • 2 cupcooked rice
  • 1 can(10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can(4 ounces) mushrooms, sliced and drained (you can also use stems and pieces)

Steps

  1. 1

    Place breasts in a shallow baking pan.

  2. 2

    In a bowl, mix mushroom soup and beer.

  3. 3

    Cover breasts with soup mixture, onion, and mushrooms.

  4. 4

    Bake at 350° 1 1/2 to 2 hours for teal, 2 to 2 1/2 hours for mallard.

  5. 5

    Baste several times with soup mixture while cooking.

  6. 6

    Serve with rice, using sauce as gravy.

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
