
Nectars Strawberry and Cinnamon Scones

Preheat oven to 180degC

Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. add the butter and rub in until you have a coarse mixture. Stir in the frozen strawberries.

In a separate bowl combine the buttermilk and egg, then tip into the flour mix. with as few strokes as possible, stir until the mixture just starts to hold together. Tip on to a floured surface and gently bring the dough together with your hands and shape into a long rectangle about 3 cm thick. sprinkle over the combined cinnamon and sugar.

Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into 10 - 12 pieces. Transfer to a lined baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes or until golden on top.
