Granny's famous chili bean casserole

I love it

I love chili and I love cornbread Stuffing. So the Stuffing was on sell for a dollar a bag, so I couldn't pass it up. I started thinking humm, this would be a good opportunity to mix it up and here it is!!!!

This is something I just threw together tonight with ingredients I had on hand. The cornbread was some leftover cornbread with only 2 pieces missing. Lol. I will probably add more cheese next time and some jalapenos!

My coworker gave me this recipe from a past potluck, and now I bake this for every holiday get together. Everybody always wants this recipe because it's extremely delicious. It's also very easy, but you'd think it took more time preparing... Make this recipe your own byadding a touch of your faves like onions or bacon!!

There was this Italian Restaurant in Lower Manhattan that made great Polenta over Sausage and Peppers. I love polenta, but you have to stir it a lot to make. I decided to try a short cut and came up with this idea. Not as creamy as that old restaurant, but still very good. Another crowd favorite in my large and picky family.Basically, this can be made with any meat and vegetable combination. In the future, I plan on making it over Chicken & Broccoli. So far, I have made it over Chicken & Peppers and Sausage & Peppers(Twice). For the picture, I made it over Sausage &Peppers.I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. The only negative to this dish is when it is over. :-(Enjoy!
