preheat to 425º

dissolve yeast cake in 1/4 cup warm water

pour 1 cup boiling water in bowl containing margarine or crisco, salt, and sugar, stirring to dissolve. When mixture is lukewarm, add yeast and egg. Slowly add flour, stirring just until smooth.

let rise in refrigerator in a large greased bowl covered with a towel or plastic wrap at least two hours or overnight.

two hours before baking, roll out on slightly floured board and cut into rounds. let rise two hours. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until brown.
