mix the flour and sugar in a bowl, add the egg and half the milk and beat until smooth. add the remaining milk and beat well until bubbles appear on the surface.

preheat a frying pan with a little butter or oil.

drop spoonfuls of batter into the pan to make 10cm round pancackes
- 4
when bubbles form on the surface turn the pancakes over and cook on the other side for approx 30 seconds or until golden Brown.

remove from the pan and stack on a plate whilst you cook the rest. serve with jam, maple syrup, nutella, or honey or all of the above. enjoy.
