Ingredients

4 servings
  • Chicken- i used whole
  • Potatoes
  • Green peas
  • Bell peppers
  • Tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoonSugar-
  • Seasoning cubes- to your taste
  • 8-10 piecesCarrots-
  • Groundnut oil- 2 cooking spoon
  • 1 tablespoonGround pepper-
  • 2-3 piecesBay leaves-
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • (Note 📝 all ingredients will be chopped to bite size)

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the cooking oil in the cooking pan or pot

  2. 2

    Marinate chicken for 30mins or more with spices of your choice.

  3. 3

    Pan fry the chicken and set aside.

  4. 4

    Saute onions and garlic on same pan for 1 min.

  5. 5

    Add tomato paste, seasoning and water.. Allow to boil.

  6. 6

    Add your chicken and allow to done, you can topup water at the point if need be or when it gets too thick to avoid burning.

  7. 7

    Add the potatoes and carrots and allow to simmer for 10mins.

  8. 8

    Add the chopped bell peppers,ground pepper and sugar, allow to simmer for 2-3mins.

  9. 9

    Remove the bay leave and serve with turmeric rice.
