2 cupflour
1 1/2 tspbaking powder
2 tspvanilla
1/4 tspsalt
4 tspmilk
3/4 cupshortening
1 largeegg

combine sugar, shortening & vanilla till creamy

add milk & egg, mix till light & fluffy

in separate bowl sift together flour, salt, baking powder

slowly fold small amounts of flour mixture till dough forms (slightly stick)

place in bowl, cover & refrigerate 1 hour or till firm

flour surface, roll out dough till 1/4 inch thick & cut cookies

place on cookie sheet 1/2 inch to 1 inch apart

bake @ 375° F for 8-10 min
